Tomato Trading Cards ~ Series No. 1

I debuted Series No. 1 of my  Tomato Trading Cards at the plant sale at our growing space last Sunday. Each person coming through the gate got 2 of the same cards. This encouraged folks to talk to each other and to trade to increase their selection in their albeit small collection. More enthusiastic collectors talked others out of their cards entirely. Filling up the space

Yesterday we had another productive work day. Our skilled and ever cheerful crew built seven more tables. We also completed a permanent shade structure which we realized we needed when it was smokin’ hot on Monday and Tuesday. Having many empty tables ahead of us creates a luxurious sense of ease. Central Station

Our new home

We are moving into our new space in the plaza in front of the historic Oakland Central Station. We’ve just signed the lease and construction will begin soon. Tomato seedlings are hardening off in the sun. The spring season has begun!
